Questioning My Purpose

Image
Without doubt, muslims are supposedly able to handle this problem effortlessly; Wrapped in the warmth of blankets, with sunlight barely gracing the world with it's subtle peek, birds already out in search of their promised share of rizq, yet candidly some ppl (like me oho) still think of countless excuses to stay loyal to their beds, "Whats the point of another day? Am I about to repeat the same cycle all over again?" and well, once again, tuck themselves to bed, all snug. So I recently picked this book out of queer interest Curious at how our other brothers and sisters tend to find a purpose at living without a firm belief in Islam (May Allah revert them, Amin) and undeniably, lead better lives than most of the muslims nowadays who are simply just called 'penunggang agama' The people described in this book (folks in Okinawa) are MashaAllah, its as if the sunnah of our prophet was in their blood without them realizing at all! Some of ...

Forget-Me-Not

Between you and the ones around you, who comes first? For some people, its a given that youre someone who tends to give out more possibly because of the fact that youre so used to having your possessions torn away from you, regardless of it being by your younger siblings or whatever the cause it may be .And who knows whether you expect nothing or a ten-fold reward in return, well, that depends on the individual himself. You might claim yourself to be someone selfless, altruistic, ignorant of how youre being treated, asalkan dia bahagia .  Seriously?  Hmm, you know what, I'm starting to think that it sounds a bit strange. Yet, once taunted with the mere thought that all youre doing only leaves an empty spot in your heart, despite acknowledging the subtle wave of  pleasure you get upon seeing someone else beam because of you, you'll might start to console yourself with this hadith; The Prophet  salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam  said:  None of ...

For The Love of-

"Atuk! Atuk buat pa duk jadi referee lagi umur macam ni? Atuk sekarang sepatutnya duduk rehat kat rumah la, bagi orang lain jadi referee," said a woman in her thirties, whilst watching her son's rugby match. A couple of other mothers chimed along the comment, nodding their heads in agreement. The old man gestured a warm smile and replied- "Kalau boleh memang nak pun, tapi depa yang lain tak reti cakap." Heh? It took me a while to process the udang di sebalik batu of his words but as I kept on observing his manoeuvres on the field, I guess I finally understood . Before raising a coloured card or making his hands dance to tell the crowd that a foul has been made, he'd firmly put his hand on the blundered's shoulder and tell him in detail of what he has done wrong and how he should've done it - all slowly and crystal clear.  Although you can't really hear what's going on from the other side of the field, its pretty noticeable if yo...

Regaining Composure

Image
Ha! This is it! I've been holding myself back from writing lately (or typing lah ) primarily because kononnya I was waiting for the proper mood to come waltzing by yet here I am again, with so many inorganized thoughts, metaphorically diff coloured paint just itching to be all blended together on a single canvas. And so, the self-acclaimed picasso took up her brush and-      Soon, it'll be a week since high school eternally ends for me and unsurprisingly here I am still, mourning over how things could've ended way better instead. Trust me, SPM wasn't a smooth cruise for the likes of myself. As happy as I am to see my friends smiling confidently upon exiting the exam hall, I was as equally so darn depressed to see myself down in the dumps. Astaghfirullah, I know. Never the one to be so chill about moving on, I still keep my late entries from 2008 and still hasn't come to the phase of missing anyone from school (yet). Really, this is such a tiring habit of mine...

How He Rolls

I can't believe he did that effortlessly. Nope, I'm not talking about the pakcik who skillfully siang-ed the fishes as if the knife he used was waltzing with the dead fish (?) but rather I'm talking abt my dad who selamba je left Ali and I unsupervised at a pasar! And this pasar wasn't the Pasar Siti Khadijah type as it had walls tainted with weird vandalisms for instance ; "Melayu tuut tuut". Its censored mostly because i couldn't recall what was there but hey, it was arguably offensive and triggering. And immediately, i had a bad premonition abt the whole place. A lubuk for drunkards and well obviously haters. heh. If Ali wasn't there, of course I'd end up crying and would've made my way back to the car in tears (which had no idea where!) Yea, I just happened to have the worst sense of direction in the fam. I turned to look at my brother's face, expecting the same look of horror I had, only to find one with squinted eyes and an exa...

Being Fair

*clears throat* ^ haha perlu ke?          Salam people!      Am back from school and well alive - (hinting that ive went through hell and back with SPM trials done and over with) To cut the drama short, despite all the hardcore last-minute studying, trying to wake up at four and failing miserably; the whole three-weeks exam wasn't satisfying at all. Hopefully by the end of this post, it'll be so much easier for me anchor myself to the ground and accept the fact that I'm still miles away from receiving a slip with *explosion sfx* results. Lets get real la      If you're still struggling hard to extract ayat" berbunga for karangan, still can't decide whether youre better at argumentative or descriptive essays, still saying "asalkan tak fail" for addmaths, still cramming 40+ subtopics the night before exam for pai and seje, and still hasn't get an A for your science electives throughout the year, Then you're definitely ...
